Rangers
Rangers is our section for girls aged 14-18 where girls get the chance to expand their horizons and choose their own adventures.
Rangers get the chance to hang out and learn while having the freedom to make their own decisions and be themselves.
Ranger Promise
Each Ranger will be encouraged to make their Ranger Promise. This usually happens after a Ranger has been attending Rangers for a little while, and their leader thinks they are ready. Once the promise has been made, each Ranger gets a shiny new badge to wear on the left side of their uniform - symbolising their commitment to Rangers.

In Carmarthenshire, many units run as dual-language units, providing activities in English and Welsh. As such, the Ranger Promise is also available in both languages.
Ranger Programme
Rangers follow an age-appropriate programme full of adventure, activities and fun, working towards a variety of interest badges, skills builders and theme awards to earn a coveted Ranger Gold Award. Working towards these awards teaches commitment and can help build self-confidence.

Within the unit, Rangers will earn skills builder badges in themes such as camping and first aid through our skills builders and unit meeting activities.
At home, we'd encourage them to complete some of our fabulous interest badges such as Digital Design, Protesting & Morals & Values.

That's not all Rangers may choose to work towards. There are a range of awards and qualifications available to them;
That's not all our Rangers have the chance to do. They may decide to return to become Young Leaders, and return to Rainbows, Brownies or Guides as part of the leadership team, become a Guiding Advocate or join Dyfodol y Ddraig as a Carmarthenshire Representative.
Trips, Festivals and International adventures are also a possibility, with Rangers in charge of deciding their own adventures, the list of activities is almost endless. From visiting a Guiding World Centre with an international team to sleeping under canvas on a DofE excursion, pushing the limits while still having fun is always the goal.
